Dr. Petra Blum has provided individual, group, and family counseling since 1996. She holds graduate degrees from Covenant Theological Seminary and University of Missouri – St. Louis. In addition to seeing clients in private practice, Petra enjoys supervising and training counselors as well as researching, writing, and speaking on issues of faith and emotional healing.
Prior to moving into private practice in 2005, Petra served as the Clinical Director of the Children’s Advocacy Center of Greater St. Louis, an affiliate of a national treatment center specializing in child and family trauma counseling, research, and training. Over the course of the past 15 years, Petra has served as adjunct professor at University of Missouri- St. Louis, has provided clinical supervision and training of counselors, and has spoken extensively in the St. Louis area regarding issues of trauma, sexual abuse, counseling training, parenting, relationship issues, and emotional/spiritual/sexual health.
