In this era of constant busy-ness and anxiety-ridden life, we often find it difficult to give ourselves time and space to be ourselves. Sarah is committed to creating that safe place for her clients to feel free to be themselves and be known as they are. She uses an interpersonal approach to her counseling where a trusting relationship is built as she walks alongside her clients on their journey.
Sarah earned her Master of Arts in Counseling at Covenant Theological Seminary and is under the clinical supervision of Dr. Petra Blum, LPC. She also holds a Master of Arts in Theological Studies and has a degree in Elementary Education from the University of Auckland in New Zealand. From her 14 years of classroom teaching, Sarah brings to counseling a wealth of knowledge about children and families and is thrilled she gets to do, as a therapist, what was her favorite part of teaching – connecting with children.
Sarah offers psychotherapy to children, adolescents, and adults for a variety of issues including anxiety, depression, spirituality and faith, past trauma (especially attachment trauma), family of origin issues, and children of divorce and separation. Sarah speaks Korean fluently and works with children and adults who struggle with internal cultural conflicts, as well as cultural conflicts within immigrant or multicultural families.
